This wedding truly captured the essence of summer. Beginning with a ceremony at St. Francis Xavier Church, the couple then moved to Sunny’s Bar in Red Hook before heading to Brooklyn Crab for the reception. To reflect the vibrant season, we used bright, seasonal blooms while keeping the overall design refined. The bride’s bouquet, requested to be held like a pageant bouquet, was cradled in her arms- a personal favorite of mine (and touches of cascading tomato vine!). Pearls were delicately added to a few blooms, mirroring the detail on her pearled dress. The bouquet was finished with hand-dyed silk ribbon, creating a beautiful keepsake. At Brooklyn Crab, we mixed bud vases for the tables, and the large ceremony arrangements were repurposed- one as a bar piece and the other on the welcome table, tying everything together.
